On 22 June 1992 plaintiff Gaston Grading and Landscaping (Gaston) attempted to enforce a contractor's lien against real property then owned by Crowders Mountain Development Corporation (CMDC). The property was encumbered by two purchase money deeds of trust in favor of defendants Lewis and Juanita Young (Youngs).
