I. Introduction

This appeal involves the question of whether appellant K.S.'s parental rights should be terminated with respect to his children M.S. and T.S. The district court found K.S. abandoned his two children and ordered his parental rights terminated pursuant to Iowa Code section 232.116(1)(b) (1991).
