After having waived his right to a jury trial, Defendant was convicted by the trial court of murder in the first degree, § 565.020,1 and armed criminal action, § 571.015. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for the murder conviction, and thirty years for armed criminal action, with the sentences to run concurrently.
