LATTIMORE, Justice.

Appellant, Angelo Mack, was convicted by a jury of the offense of delivery of a controlled substance, namely less than twenty-eight grams of cocaine. See Tex.Health & Safety Code Ann. § 481.112 (Vernon 1992). The jury assessed punishment at fifteen years confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
