Rudy Arthur Rosales was convicted in the district court for Lancaster County of theft by unlawful taking, in violation of Neb.Rev. Stat. § 28-511 (Reissue 1989). The property taken had a value of $9,678. At an enhancement hearing, Rosales was found to be a habitual criminal as defined in Neb.Rev. Stat. § 29-2221 (Reissue 1989) and was sentenced to 15 to 20 years' imprisonment. Rosales has appealed to this court, claiming, among other things...
