Before this court is a petition for writ of certiorari involving the imposition of a 30-day jail sentence in a contempt action. We find the writ should be sustained and the contempt action dismissed.

On January 21, 1992, a judgment was entered finding John Sherwin Diercks guilty of second offense OWI and driving while his license was barred. The judgment imposed various fines, surcharges and costs and specified they were to be paid...
