The defendant was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute in violation of La.R.S. 40:967. After trial by jury, he was found guilty as charged and sentenced by the court under the multiple offender provisions of La. R.S. 15:529.1 to fifteen years at hard labor.
