Samuel Stoia was charged in four counts of a multi-count, multi-defendant indictment with various drug offenses relating to his participation in a conspiracy to import and distribute marijuana. The jury found him guilty of conspiracy to distribute and conspiracy to import marijuana, but found him not guilty of two substantive counts of importation of marijuana.
