This case originated out of divorce proceedings between appellants, Joel Dean Bailey and Wanda Massey Bailey. Respondents, Attorneys Evander Jeffords and James T. McLaren, initially represented Ms. Bailey in the divorce action. Claiming an interest in a settlement arrived at between appellants without respondents' knowledge, the respondents successfully moved to set aside the family court order approving appellants' settlement agreement.
