In October 1989, James Sarna pleaded guilty to counterfeiting obligations of the United States in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2 and 471. Sarna was released on bail on the condition that he appear in the courtroom of Judge Robert L. Miller, Jr., on January 23, 1990, to receive his sentence.
