In this workers' compensation case, respondent, John F. Adkins, sought to recover benefits for the death of his son, Stephen Wayne Adkins. The deceased's mother, Mary F. Hutto, disputed the father's entitlement to any death benefits. The single commissioner and full commission ruled the father was not entitled to receive any benefits.
