The dispositive issue in this certified appeal is whether the trial court had jurisdiction to grant the defendant's motion for judgment of acquittal six weeks after the defendant had begun serving his sentence. We conclude that the trial court had no such jurisdiction and that it, therefore, improperly granted the defendant's motion for judgment of acquittal. Accordingly, we affirm the judgment of the Appellate Court, which reversed the trial court's judgment...
