David E. Chapman appeals from the judgment of conviction entered in the Superior Court (Oxford County, Fritzsche, J.) on a jury verdict finding him guilty of murder, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 201 (1983 & Supp.1993). He contends that the trial court abused its discretion by (1) denying his oral motion for funds for an expert psychiatrist, (2) controlling the parameters of the examination of witnesses, and (3) refusing to grant Chapman's motion...
