The sole issue in this appeal is whether the seven year limitation period in General Statutes (Rev. to 1993) § 54-193a1 may be applied to the child sex abuse offenses that were allegedly committed by the defendant, Martin Crowell. Section 54-193a took effect after the offenses were allegedly committed, but before the expiration of the five year limitation period of General Statutes...
