Plaintiff Irene Schiano departed defendant's restaurant and bar at about 1:00 A.M. on a Saturday morning in July 1990, having spent an hour and a half at the establishment in the company of two female companions. While there, Ms. Schiano consumed one alcoholic beverage. On her way to the parking lot, about 10 to 25 feet from the exit, she slipped on the paved walkway and fell, suffering an ankle injury.
