This appeal arises out of an action brought pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 (1988). In it, appellants strive to convince us that the district court erred in granting summary judgment in favor of defendants Ismael Betancourt-Lebron (sometimes referred to as Ismael Betancourt y Lebron) and Carlos J.
