LEWIS, J.:

Defendant was charged with burglary and theft. He appeared before the trial court and requested an order appointing counsel to represent him on these charges. The trial judge told defendant that, under the applicable guidelines, he was not eligible for appointed counsel. Defendant continued to argue that he was unable to pay for retained counsel. As a result, he was adjudged to be guilty of contempt. He was later sentenced to time served on the contempt...
