Lamont O. Douglas (appellant), a juvenile, was convicted in a bench trial by the Circuit Court of Fairfax County (trial court) of malicious wounding, use of a sawed-off shotgun, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. In a second bench trial, in the same jurisdiction, appellant was convicted of robbery and use of a sawed-off shotgun.1
