Respondent Empire Chemical, Inc., Midwest Rubber Custom Mixing Division ("Empire"), has appealed from a judgment of the Summit County Court of Common Pleas that affirmed a cease and desist order issued by the Ohio Civil Rights Commission ("commission"). By its order, the commission found in favor of complainant Martha Chandler on claims of sex discrimination and retaliation. Empire argues that the trial court's judgment constitutes an abuse of discretion...
