Connard V. Walton appeals his conviction of indecent liberties, contending for the first time on appeal that the trial court erred in admitting a police officer's concededly reliable videotaped deposition in violation of Walton's constitutional right to confront at trial the witnesses against him. Walton also claims that his trial counsel rendered ineffective assistance by failing to object to the use of the videotaped deposition at the time of trial....
