On July 10, 1981, Eugenio Correa shot Richard Bradwell in the face. Bradwell miraculously survived the shooting for nine years until his mother, Betty Lahart, found him lying dead on his bedroom floor. Following Bradwell's death, Correa was charged with voluntary manslaughter and possession of an instrument of crime (PIC).
