KARWACKI, Judge.

This case presents the question of whether an indigent defendant who appeals from his conviction of a crime is entitled to receive a free stenographic transcript of the trial proceedings if, in connection with the appeal, he has neither sought the assistance of, nor been refused representation by, the Public Defender. We shall answer that question in the negative.
