A jury convicted Edward Martinson of five counts of mail and wire fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1341, 1343. It found that Martinson had fraudulently induced six seafood distributors to deliver partial payments for the purchase of certain kinds of food processing equipment that Martinson had agreed to manufacture but never did.
