This action arose as the result of defendant's denial of plaintiff's claim for life insurance benefits upon the death of his wife, who was employed by defendant. Plaintiff sent a series of letters to defendant, claiming life insurance benefits. Defendant responded on January 30, 1986, that plaintiff's wife had not been eligible for life insurance benefits.
