McKEE, Circuit Judge.

The defendant appeals from the district court's denial of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2254 in which he challenges the validity of a guilty plea that he entered in state court. Because we conclude that the unique circumstances of this case require that the defendant be afforded an opportunity for a hearing to resolve a factual dispute, we will vacate the order of the district court...
