Donnell Stevens was employed by Fitzgerald Railcar Services as a blaster. His duties involved removing paint from railroad cars and the heavy metal gates attached to the bottom of the cars. Stevens alleged that he was injured on February 20, 1991 while moving a 100-pound railcar gate.
