The defendant appeals1 from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of the crime of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a. The defendant raises three issues on appeal. They are whether the trial court improperly (1) denied the defendant's motion to depose a potential witness, (2) limited the scope of the defendant's cross-examination, and (3) instructed the jury on circumstantial evidence...
