This diversity case arises out of a contract dispute between an Illinois manufacturer and one of its regional distributors located in Louisiana. The issue concerns whether the manufacturer had the right to terminate the distributorship agreement without stating the cause, giving sixty days notice. The district court concluded that the manufacturer did have such a right to terminate under Louisiana law as it existed at the time the agreement...
