The petitioner appeals from the judgment of the habeas court denying his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. On appeal, the petitioner asserts that the habeas court improperly found (1) that the petitioner was competent at the time of his guilty pleas and (2) that the failure of the petitioner's trial counsel to investigate the petitioner's mental condition did not constitute ineffective assistance of counsel.
