The debtor in bankruptcy proceedings, Nasser Farouki, personally guaranteed a five million dollar loan made by Dubai Bank International Limited ("the Bank") to Dina Associated, S.A. ("Dina"). After Dina defaulted, the Bank pursued Farouki for payment based upon his personal guarantee.
