Pending before the court is the motion of defendant, William R. Porter, for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2255. On April 18, 1990, defendant was named in a 46 count indictment by a grand jury charging 15 individuals with assorted violations of federal law.
