This personal injury case arises from a vehicular accident that occurred on a rainy December day in 1988.1 Plaintiff was driving her car south on a two-lane highway, Highway 99 in Douglas County. Defendant Price was driving north on the same highway in a tractor-trailer combination owned by defendant R.E. Christiansen Trucking, Inc., Price's employer.
