In this civil action, plaintiffs are seeking a permanent injunction restraining defendants from interfering with plaintiffs' exercise of their treaty-preserved rights to hunt, fish and gather in the area of northern Wisconsin ceded to the United States by the Lake Superior Chippewa Indians in 1837 and 1842.
