The Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, 38 U.S.C. §§ 4211-14, requires firms that have contracts with the federal government to promise in their contracts not to discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because he is a veteran of the Vietnam War.
