The appellant, Hubert Lane, Jr., appeals from his conviction for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, a violation of § 13A-12-211, Code of Alabama, 1975. The trial court sentenced the appellant pursuant to the Habitual Felony Offender Act and also enhanced his sentence because the unlawful distribution occurred within a three-mile radius of both a school and a public housing project.
