In March 1993, a jury convicted defendant, William Johnson, of five counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 12-14(b)(1)), and two counts of home invasion (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 12-11).
