Defendant, Julio Izquierdo, was charged by information with one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver (Ill.Rev.Stat.1991, ch. 56 ½, par. 1401(a)) and one count of controlled substances trafficking (Ill.Rev.Stat.1991, ch. 56½, par. 1401.1).
