In November 1991, Joseph Catalucci was indicted with other defendants for various drug related offenses, including conspiracy. 21 U.S.C. § 846. In substance, the government charged Catalucci and his co-defendants with operating a drug distribution network that, between 1969 and 1991, distributed more than 100,000 pounds of marijuana and substantial amounts of hashish.
