On April 22, 1994, Citibank filed a notice of filing foreign judgment with the Clerk of the Pima County Superior Court. The judgment had been obtained in the United States District Court for the District of California on January 17, 1990. The trial court denied a motion by defendant Jim Phifer to vacate the filing of the foreign judgment, holding that A.R.S. § 12-1551, the five-year statute of limitations governing actions...
