These two consolidated cases arise out of an accident in which the driver of a car went to sleep and drove into a concrete bridge abutment. Plaintiff in appeal No. 93-628 is Robert Campbell, a backseat passenger who was injured. Plaintiffs in appeal No. 93-629 are Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Frazier, Sr., parents of Robert Frazier, a front seat passenger, who died from injuries.
