Dale Gaudet, defendant, was convicted of second degree murder. La.R.S. 14:30.1. Defendant appeals his conviction.

FACTS

On February 18, 1984, Connie Guidry Gaudet ("the victim") mysteriously disappeared. The victim, who had been married to defendant since September 1978, had two young daughters, ages four and one. On the day of her disappearance, the victim worked until 6:30 p.m., picked up her two daughters from their grandmother...
