CORCORAN, Justice.

Michael Steven Gallegos (defendant) was convicted of first degree murder and sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 15. The trial court sentenced him to death for murder and to a presumptive consecutive 20-year sentence for sexual conduct with a minor. This automatic appeal followed.
