Appellant, Omar Anderson, was convicted by a jury of the offense of murder. See TEX.PENAL CODE ANN. § 19.02(a)(1) (Vernon 1989). The jury assessed punishment at life confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
