The plaintiffs filed this action to quiet title to land near Aspen, Colorado. Both parties move for summary judgment. The ultimate issue in this case is the ownership of an 11 acre parcel of land near Aspen, Colorado described as lot 9, section 6, T. 9 S., R. 85 W., 6th p.m. (lot 9). For the reasons set forth below, I conclude that the United States has always owned lot 9 and it has never been conveyed from Federal ownership...
