Following a jury trial in county court, Appellant was convicted of the offense of exceeding the speed limit pursuant to Tex.Rev. Civ.Stat.Ann. art. 6701d, § 166(a) (Vernon Supp.1994), and as punishment, the trial court imposed a $200.00 fine and $111.00 in court costs. TEX.REV.CIV.STAT.ANN., art. 6701d, § 143(b) (Vernon 1977).
