This lawsuit arises out of a June 22, 1987 collision between automobiles driven by plaintiff Octave Orgeron and defendant Henry Prescott, Sr., in which Prescott's car struck Orgeron's car in the rear. Orgeron sued Prescott and his insurer, State Farm, claiming injuries to his neck, lower back, and knees. Orgeron's employer, Harry Lee, Sheriff of Jefferson Parish, filed an intervention to recover for medical expenses and lost time wages paid to Orgeron...
