LATTIMORE, Justice.

Appellant, Roy Leon Smith, was convicted by a jury of the offenses of delivery of cocaine, and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver. See TEX.HEALTH & SAFETY CODE ANN. § 481.112(a) (Vernon 1992). The court assessed punishment at twenty years confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in each case.
