MONTIEL, Judge.

The appellant, Novel Beau Hodge, was indicted for manslaughter in violation of § 13A-6-3(a)(1), Code of Alabama 1975. Hodge applied for and was denied youthful offender status. A jury found Hodge guilty as charged in the indictment, and the trial court sentenced him to 30 years in prison as a habitual offender.
