The defendant, Brian Glover, was charged on February 5, 1992 by bill of information with distribution of cocaine within 1000 feet of a school in violation of LSA R.S. 40:981.3, 40:967(A). He was arraigned on March 5, 1992 and pled not guilty. On May 21, 1993, at the conclusion of a four day trial, the jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged.
