The plaintiff, Hydro-Manufacturing, Inc. (Hydro), appealed to the Supreme Court from an order that granted summary judgment to the defendant, Kayser-Roth Corp. (Kayser-Roth). Hydro had purchased a textile-manufacturing facility located in North Smithfield, Rhode Island (the site).
